Belshaw HD2000, a record in the making?
Belshaw's 32-foot (9.75-meter) HD2000 automatic fryer has been submitted to Guinness World Record officials for recognition as the world's largest fryer. Final word on whether the fryer has captured the record is still expected. The fryer is one of two nearly identical HD2000's that are being built for a large and well-known wholesale bakery in the U.S. Both HD2000's make about 3,500 dozen donuts per hour, and hold more than 8,000 lbs. (3,629kg) of shortening. |
